A lot of manacles are round, and so have only one face. These ones are hexagonal. That’s six times more faces for your money!

Made from welded 40x5mm steel flat bar (that’s around 1.5x3/16ths in inches), and joined with an 8x32mm chain, these are some heavy duty manacles. Their shape and width spreads the weight out quite well, making them surprisingly comfortable.

The steel segments are welded together, then any rough edges or corners are smoothed out with abrasives. The chain is attached securely to each manacle by cutting a link open, inserting it through a hole, and then closing the link and welding it shut. They are then cleaned and coated with a clear lacquer to prevent rusting. They lock with a small button head cap screw which takes a 4mm allen key; an allen key with a ring for attaching to cords or keyrings is supplied with each set.

I have not differentiated between wrist and ankle restraints here; they work well as both. To get the correct size for you, measure the distance across the widest point of your wrist or ankle, as shown in the picture as shown in the picture, and choose the best fit from the following list; if you’re unsure, go a size up, because there is obviously no give in these at all.

5cm/2”: Small

6.3cm/2.5”: Medium

7.5cm/3”: Large
